The Globe Goes Green for St. Patrick’s Day
It’s time to brew up a cup of Organo Gold Organic Green Tea and go green in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day today. Saint Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious celebration occurring annually on March 17, to commemorate the most commonly-recognized patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.
But this love of the green Irish spirit today spreads well beyond Ireland. Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated with parades, parties and colorful tributes in many cities and countries across the globe. From Sydney Australia drenching their iconic Opera House in jolly green light to Chicago famously dyeing its waterways bright green, St. Paddy’s day, as it is colloquially known, is a much-loved tradition to many, even those without roots or family in Ireland.
When it comes to a colorful celebration like Saint Patrick’s Day, a picture tells a thousand words — so here are some images of the day being celebrated in Australia, Canada, and the USA in recent years.
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to everyone from us here at OG. We’ll be raising a glass of green tea in honor of Saint Patrick — and hope you all go green in your tea consumption on this happy day.
